Alyssa Collier
Alyssa began dancing when she was 4 years old in her home state of Texas. She has trained in ballet, jazz, tap, musical theater, lyrical, pointe, acro, and contemporary dance. Alyssa danced competitively from the ages of 6 to 18 years old and gained a passion for performing from doing so. In 2020, she graduated from North East School of the Arts (NESA), a performing arts high school in San Antonio, Texas. While there, she danced every day and learned from professional choreographers who came from all over the country to teach there. In December of 2025, Alyssa will graduate with her BA in Dance and a minor in Family Studies from Brigham Young University. Alyssa has been teaching dance to students ages 18 months-60+ years old for over 4 years now and absolutely loves connecting with her students. In her spare time Alyssa loves to bake, read, and spend time with her husband, Lucas.
Oakley Palfreyman Johnson
Oakley Palfreyman Johnson has danced for 19 years including 9 years at Lifehouse Performing Arts Academy and 2 years at Southern Utah University (SUU) where she received her Associate's Degree in Dance Education. While at SUU, she was selected as the Performer of the Year and became a presidency member of their dance company “Orchesis”. She was also selected as Salem Hills High Schools Dance Sterling Scholar in 2019. Oakley has been invited to teach and choreograph for multiple schools throughout Utah Valley including Maple Mountain High School, Salem Hills High School, Springville High School, and Provo High School. Her dream to help others enjoy dance as much as she has through her own dance studio became a reality in June of 2023 when she opened the Oaks Dance Studio in Santaquin, UT. This studio focuses on helping the community come together and helping each other reach their potential. She loves sharing the love of dance with her community and seeing each of her dancers grow to be their best selves.
Amanda began dancing at 5 years old, starting with ballet and continuing her training through college. She has over 20 years of dancing under her belt. She was a member of the Performing Dance Company at Lone Peak High School where she danced and choreographed for the company. She attended 4 years of dance education at Utah Valley University, focusing on ballet and modern. Throughout her dance training she grew to love the teaching aspect and quickly knew that she wanted to be a dance teacher. She has over 8 years of dance teaching experience in ballet, jazz, and modern. She is looking forward to teaching the families of Santaquin and the surrounding areas.
Amanda has a wonderful husband, Codie, two daughters, Naomi and Harley, and twin sons, Benton and Locklyn. She wants every dancer to have a great experience learning how to dance while having fun, being creative, and strengthening their bodies. She is so excited to join The Oaks Dance Studio teaching staff!
