Oakley Palfreyman Johnson
Oakley Palfreyman Johnson has danced for 21 years including 9 years at Lifehouse Performing Arts Academy and 2 years at Southern Utah University (SUU) where she received her Associate's Degree in Dance Education. While at SUU, she was selected as the Performer of the Year and became a presidency member of their dance company “Orchesis”. She was also selected as Salem Hills High Schools Dance Sterling Scholar in 2019.
Oakley has been invited to teach and choreograph for multiple schools throughout Utah Valley including Maple Mountain High School, Salem Hills High School, Springville High School, and Provo High School. Her dream to help others enjoy dance as much as she has through her own dance studio became a reality in June of 2023 when she opened the Oaks Dance Studio in Santaquin, UT. This studio focuses on helping the community come together and helping each other reach their potential. She loves sharing the love of dance with her community and seeing each of her dancers grow to be their best selves.
Amanda Wright
Amanda began dancing at 5 years old, starting with ballet and continuing her training through college. She has over 20 years of dancing under her belt. She was a member of the Performing Dance Company at Lone Peak High School where she danced and choreographed for the company. She attended 4 years of dance education at Utah Valley University, focusing on ballet and modern. Throughout her dance training she grew to love the teaching aspect and quickly knew that she wanted to be a dance teacher. She has over 8 years of dance teaching experience in ballet, jazz, and modern. She is looking forward to teaching the families of Santaquin and the surrounding areas.
Amanda has a wonderful husband, Codie, two daughters, Naomi and Harley, and twin sons, Benton and Locklyn. She wants every dancer to have a great experience learning how to dance while having fun, being creative, and strengthening their bodies. She is so excited to be a part of The Oaks Dance Studio teaching staff!
Joshua Peck
Joshua Peck grew up in Payson, UT, with a big family. He enjoys basketball, baseball, tennis, singing, long boarding, and of course, dance. He started dancing at the age of 6 and has studied almost all available dance styles. In junior high, he began teaching hip-hop classes. After high school, he got married and had four kids, yet still made time to teach classes, perform as a guest dancer in a few shows each year, and was a backup dancer for a Brazilian pop star, Emily Ray.
He now has a stepdaughter with his new wife, Mallory. Together, Mallory and Joshua have their own podcast, helping others find hope in divorce, single parenting, and other trials of life. He runs his own company called JoPe's Events and Rentals, giving him the free time to spend his days with his now five kids and continue his love of dance and share his light with those around him!
Nicole Stone
Nicole Stone has danced for 18 years. She trained and performed for 7 years at Life house Performing Arts Academy and was chosen for several special dance pieces. She danced for 3 years in Salem Hills High School Dance company where she had the opportunity to choreograph multiple times. In college she took an early dance education class and ballroom class at UVU. She then taught and Choreographed for Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical and Contemporary dance at the Ridge Academy of Dance for 2 years before starting her family. She has also instructed dance workouts for over a year. She is currently in school to become group fitness certified. Nicole finds so much joy in helping her students reach new heights and always strives to create an environment that is fun, safe, welcoming, and cheerful.
Nicole is married to her amazing husband Preston and has 2 kids one girl and one boy. When she isn’t dancing or spending time with her family….. she loves to sing (especially Karaoke), take care of her plants, do her nails, and create things to beautify her home. Dance has always been her passion and she hopes to help her students find empowerment, joy, and excitement through dance. She is so excited to join our team.
